Harbor Springs will honor Memorial Day with the annual parade through town beginning at 10 am. A brief ceremony will take place following the parade in Zorn Park.
Additional events being coordinated by the American Legion Auxiliary Smith Hoover Unit 281 include the following:
Amerecian Legion will host its annual breakfast from 7-9 am at Legion Hall on the corner of State and Third Streets.
The annual Mary Hoffman Bake Sale to benefit Cystic Fibrosis will be from 7 am- 1- am and continue after the parade. Bake sale will be in front of the American Legion Hall on Third St.
Legion Members and the Poppy Girl, Madylin Wieman, will participate in the parade which ends at the waterfront with a brief remembrance ceremony. Immediately after the waterfront service we will proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for a ceremony there. We will return from the cemetery and go to Josephine Ford Park on Bay St to dedicate our Veterans Memorial Garden. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
