The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce announces the Petoskey market will open June 14 and will run each Friday from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The market will run this year through October 4 and will remain in its traditional location on Howard Street, between JC Penney and Julienne Tomatoes.
"The chamber is proud to continue to offer the farmers market," said Chamber President Carlin Smith. "It's certainly great for our downtown businesses, but more importantly we're supporting local farms," he added. Smith stressed that helping to make local farms viable economically is good for the environment and good for the region's land-use in general.
The Petoskey Farmers Market offers everything for your table - from breads and cheeses, meats and fish, fresh produce, honey, maple syrup, desserts - even flowers for your table.
A committee of local growers works with the Chamber to support the growth and success of the market. This success benefits the growers and also gives the residents and guests of Downtown Petoskey a chance to buy quality farm, fished and foraged products.
