Kick off spring with your furry friend at the Grateful Dog "Off-Road" 5K & 10K Walk/Run! The Grateful Dog "Off-Road" starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Nub's Nob in
Harbor Springs. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. This event is a fun way for the entire family to get exercise and raise money for the many life-saving programs and services Little Traverse Bay Humane Society provides.
Little Traverse Bay Humane Society is a donor-funded, non-profit corporation that offers a temporary home to companion animals. Every day, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society works
toward achieving its mission to offer warm shelter, veterinary services, and personal attention
to all the animals in its care, as well as proactive methods to control pet overpopulation. In addition to being an adoption center, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society offers a variety of proactive programs to help shelter animals become adoptable companions including the "Pit Stop Program," the "Ruff-to-Ready Scholarship Program," "Spay-it-Fourward," the "Animals Need to Give Everybody Love (ANGEL) Program," and boarding and grooming.
Raise money and win "paw"some prizes! The bar is set high this year with great prize packages to those who raise $500 or more, $250-$499 and $150-$249! Friends, family, co-workers and neighbors are encouraged to sponsor walkers/runners and their dogs to ensure that every animal who comes to LTBHS receives exceptional care. For those who don't have a dog to walk and would like one, shelter dogs will be barking for companionship.
This event is generously sponsored by Bearcub Outfitters, Pet Suppliers Plus, Ruff Life Pet
