The scouts from Troop 55 joined with other scouts in Northern Michigan to comprise Troop C436 where they met up with approximately 30,000 other Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts at the National Jamboree. During their two week adventure, they enjoyed great music, high-tech exhibits, an inspirational talk by Mike Rowe, high adventure activities like mountain biking, rock climbing, challenging rope courses, skateboarding, archery, hiking, white-water rafting with class five rapids, kayaking, paddle boarding, a 3,000 foot long zip line and more. They also enjoyed meeting scouts from around the nation, trading patches, and participating in a Peace Day of Service. On the last day, they experienced amazing fireworks. The theme of the 2013 Jamboree was "Go Big, Get Wild!" It was the most extreme Jamboree in history and these scouts had an incredible time. Before heading home, the scouts visited Washington D.C. for an educational tour of the capitol.
