The Michigan Department of Transportation announced a lane closure on US-31 near Alanson is set to begin Monday, May 5.
Due to frost-heaving this winter, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be removing and replacing pavement on the southbound driving lane and shoulder, and installing upgraded drainage structures, the announcement stated.
This work will require closure of the southbound lane, and a temporary traffic signal. Drivers should expect delays.
Depending on weather, the project is expected to be completed by Friday, May 9.
