Area ski resorts ready to open early with winter's November arrival
The snowmaking crew at Nubs Nob has been working around the clock, blasting 292 custom snow guns (designed and built by the Nubs team) to blanket the slopes with a deeper base than ever for mid-November. Area ski hills will be open to skiers and riders this weekend, thanks to a combination of frigid temperatures perfect for making snow and plenty of early season natural snowfall.
