Bryan Keith Lutz, 49, of Alanson, died March 7, 2017 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital.
Bryan was born Christmas Day, 1967, to Keith and Marilyn (Radle) Lutz. He grew up in Alanson and attended high school there; Bryan was on the High School Basketball Team and was Homecoming King his senior year.
Bryan married Paula Cone in 1988, they had two children together. In 2000, he married Danielle Claeys, and was happily blessed with three more children.
Bryan owned his own business, Bryan K. Lutz Building and Remodeling. He was an exceptionally hard worker and taught his kids to be the same.
He loved being outdoors, whether it was hunting and fishing, camping or hanging out beside a bonfire. He was happy doing anything outside with his buddies and his kids.
Bryan had an amazing ability to make everyone feel like a friend. He would stop and talk to anyone for 15 minutes and greet you with the biggest smile and a great hug. He was a wonderful presence in the community and will be sorely missed by those who knew him.
Surviving are his children, Amber (Gabriel Monroe) Lutz of Petoskey, Zachary (Addie) Lutz of Alanson, Brody Lutz, Kenley Lutz and Aubrey Lutz; grandchildren, Lillian Hendricks, Jaxon Lutz and Baby Lutz still on the way; parents, Keith and Marilyn Lutz; sister, Anita (Michael) Thomas of Petoskey; niece, Bailey (Jeremiah Weld) Thomas; grandma, Iris Radle; and many aunts and uncles.
Bryan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clair Radle, Mildred Lutz and Carl Lutz.
There will be a funeral service, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor Jim Gerber will officiate the service. A luncheon at the Alanson Village Hall will immediately follow.
